Hey Everyone!

My name is A, and I am a little bit of a shy person hence the initial and picture of this bird I found at Lake Biwa. I am from the state of Michigan in the United States, but now am living in Otsu City in Shiga Prefecture working on our shared sister city relations. The truth is that I had requested Shiga Prefecture when applying to work in Japan after living here previously in 2014-2015 as a student.

My posts on this blog will be aimed towards anything I find interesting in Otsu that hasn’t been covered yet by the other wonderful CIRs.

Salut tout le monde!
Hey everyone!

My name is Émilie. I come from Quebec and I arrived in Shiga as a Coordinator for International Relations (CIR) in summer 2017. I have two bachelor’s degrees: one in sequential art and one in translation and writing (English to French). This is my third time in Japan, but my first in Shiga; I previously lived in Sakai (Osaka) and Nagoya (Aichi). My native language is French, but I’m also fluent in English and Japanese.

Enjoy!
Amusez-vous bien!Émilie

Shiga Prefectural CIR (Brazil) – 2019-present

Oi, pessoal! É um prazer!

Hi, everyone! Nice to meet you!

I started working as the Shiga’s Brazilian Coordinator for International Relations in April this year, and that’s when my new life here started! I still don’t know so many things about Shiga, but I think it is a beautiful prefecture and love it more and more everyday!

My hobbies are games, cycling and the study of the Japanese language. I came to japan before, but it’s my first time living here, so everyday is full of discoveries and I have a lot of fun!

Here, I want to write about my experiences in Shiga!

Nos vemos por aí!

See you!
